In 10 years that I have made music I haven't get fair deals. Labels treat you not very well if you are not a big seller, and when you finally sign it over a record label, it becomes old before they put it out. Then if you don’t sale enough copies you do not get paid, and if you sale 200 copies at 2 dollars each. You would get almost nothing, because between the store, distribution, who gets most of those 2 dollars, and finally the label, that keeps half of royalties. You end up getting nothing out from does 2 dollars. Besides this you would never really know how many copies were sold. Finally there are all this people steeling music and distributing it for free on blogs. more...
